Triumph of Death 2 : Apocalypse Kickstarter

My second Triumph of Death Kickstarter launches Sept 16th at one minute after midnight.

The boys are back in town!

The first Triumph of Death Kickstarter was a smashing success thanks to my backers, but we could only produce so many troop times and command figures before the Kickstarter ended. Many previous backers requested other troop types to round out their armies and I heard the clarion call. That's where this new Kickstarter comes in.

New backer rewards have a choice of (currently) 5 new unit types and 3 sets of command, pluse the Four Horsemen themselves, in the flesh... kinda.

We have a legion of Stretch Goals in our back pocket ready to rise up- swing on by and take a look

Cheers!

Triumph of Death: A bad war

A Bad War

A bad war was the term used when English or GermanLandknecht mercinaries had to fight other mercinaries, in particular the Swiss. These battles were usually fought to the death and were exceptionally brutal, with no quarter given or taken.

As I am buildign up my Triumph of Death armies, I decided to get some shots of living landsknechts (aka Empire troops from GW ) against the "late" landsknechts. Surely this is a bad war, because death always wins in the end.
Tercio attempts to stave off death
yet death is inevitable

Say- what about Triumph of DeathII Kickstarter?

Glad you asked! ToDII is also inevitable, and now with the Killer Rabbits KS done, is start to gain steam. On the other hand, my day job has been demanding a lot more of my time and focus, so it's moving a bit slower than I had hoped. My current "pencil in" date is June, but that may change- you will have to stay tuned!

Cheers

Triumph of Death: Zweihander Dopplesoldier

Zweihander throwing shade and ready to fight!

Zweihander skeleton posing jauntily. Another great Drew Day Williams sculpt for my upcoming Triumph of Death II Kickstarter.  All of the painted singles will become a set that will be an option for backers.

Super clean castings from Firing line miniatures

My concept for this fine fellow.

Triumph of Death: Moar Greenz!

A couple of shots of the upcoming Triumph of Death line up. 4 pike poses, and the second of the four horsemen, Famine. Looking a bit thin in the arms, he is...

Next time I hope to have some samples to show you.
Cheers!

Triumph of Death: Pike block/Horde

Triumph of Death.

 Prodigal Blogger Returns!

Ahoy Fellow Bloggites! I've realized that I've been rather remiss on posting on my blog, being caught up in other social medias like the Face Books. Well, I've missed my blog and you'ze guys and promise to come back to it with regularity.

While away I've been working on lots of cool stuff and had some keen adventures to share- but for now I want to present to you this pike block made using my Triumph of Death miniatures, realized through my successful Kickstarter.
Speaking of Kickstarters- Thank you out there who backed, talked about or even just had good thoughts about Triumph of Death. The KS was a big success, thanks to you!

Now, more pics of the pike block.

I decided to add my seal to the base.

The Unit was fun to paint and even more fun to figure out how I wanted it to go together to create a story. I'm pretty happy with the latter, taking notes from Saxon Dog on his amazing diorama bases.

That's all for now- Cheers and blog at ya soon!

Triumph of Death: painted stretch goal minis

As soon as I got the first review casts of the last stretch goal minis, I primed them and put paint to them!

Zweihander attacking.

The Abbot

Both the Abbot and the zweihander minis carry on the fish and crown motif, on the breastplate, and on the crozier and miter cap. I didn't even know the fish was on the crozier till I started painting! Sweet.

Standard bearer

The standard bearer comes open handed with the flag pole and hangar style sword attached to the base. This gives you lots of options with this particular model.
Armored Javelin variant

Javelin with hat variant
These latter two "variant" models are cast open handed so you can again have many options. I am jumping at the bit to do a pike block with them!

All of these models are the finishing touches on one of my high end painted backer rewards. They've already been boxed up and shipped out.

Triumph of Death: Sexy Stretch Goal Greens

The Abbot

Behold!
Drew Day Williams amazing work for the last Triumph of Death stretch goal rewards. Can't wait to paint these up!
Note the continuation of the fish and crown motif

Marching open handed variations. So much potential

These stretch goals were a mix of adding variations to unit types to personalities. I thought this would be a good balance for collectors and army builders.
Standard bearer- he comes with a hanger sword.

inspiration

With how well the Kickstarter was backed, I was able to come up with some fun stretch goal models. The last one, the zweihander I was seriously sketching up the concept for 5 hours before the KS ended!  It was frantic and fantastic!
That's all for now. I've got to go sort out the latest shipment- 24lbs of castings!
Cheers
